Description
This workshop covers basic soil principles and soil management practices that maximize soil biology, structure and nutrition.
Soil is both the literal and figurative foundation of your farm. Since soil management is such an integral skill on successful sustainable farms; producers should develop an understanding of basic soil principles and implement soil management practices that maximize soil biology, structure, and nutrition. This workshop will cover agricultural soil basics and cover cropping specifics, complemented by a showcase of real-world sustainable soil management practices at the K-State Horticulture Research Farm. Anyone eager to learn more about soil management should attend.
