Agriculture (as we know it) is the most destructive human activity on the planet and today, roughly 70% of the Earth's soil has already been destroyed. At this rate, we will run out of farmable soil in merely 60 years. So what can we do? The answer is simple and change is near - it's time to build living soil!
1 Hotels have partnered with Role Models x Into x Better World to create an event series educating people on the simple actions they can take to make impactful change. As individuals we often feel powerless in the face of a climate emergency, when we have real power: whether to vote with our dollar by supporting products and movements which are removing plastic or reducing carbon, or by shifting our behavior in ways such as eating less meat and dairy, there are tangible means to create individual impact with real data to support it!
In our first of the series, we are focusing on the topic of Soil, which includes regenerative farming, soil health and education, and microbiome we must restore in our lifetimes.
Through showcasing products, facts, and suggestions, and by inviting influencers who create content around them we will create a global movement around incremental change. Because a little change goes a long way!
