Description

Due to COVID-19, with the health and safety of the farming community as our greatest concern, CFSA will not hold an in-person, multi-day conference. Instead, we’re excited to host an extended hybrid event of attendance-limited, on-farm intensive workshops paired with a virtual conference that includes live webcasts, networking sessions, social gatherings, resource sharing, interactive exhibits, and more!

For 34 years, CFSA’s annual Sustainable Agriculture Conference has drawn farmers, foodies, researchers, educators, and activists for a weekend celebration of innovation in local sustainable agriculture. Educational workshops and panels, inspiring talks, and bus tours by industry leaders are interspersed with social opportunities, exhibits, and regionally sourced meals.Attendees from more than a dozen states gather each November and leave energized, connected, and inspired for a new season ahead!

While the exact schedule is still coming together, here’s what you can loosely expect in terms of dates:

On-Farm Experience: Oct. 31 – Nov. 15 (over three weekends)

  • Oct. 31 – Nov. 1, Nov. 6-8, Nov. 14-15
  • Up to 15 on-farm experiences in regional clusters
  • A combination of full and half-day events

Virtual Experience: Nov. 4-8

  • Nov. 4 (evening only) – conference kickoff
  • Nov. 5-8 – 30+ live workshops
