The Position

Smallhold is looking for someone persistent and organized who can help close our present pipeline deals, grow them into sustained national expansion projects, and introduce new ones. 

The Challenge

  • Oversee and develop existing and potential relationships with regional and national grocery and restaurant accounts
  • Import your knowledge and experience, including knowledge of the market and personal network to develop and execute an effective long-term sales strategy
  • Research customer business needs and work with management team to develop new pricing and market penetration strategies
  • Create category review calendars and strategy
  • Handle all account management, sales forecasting 
  • Organize and implement legacy systems to manage current sales pipeline and manage leadgen
  • Create, implement on integrated (inside and outside sales) acquisition strategies
  • Build and grow Smallhold’s sales team 
  • Assume responsibility for existing pipeline
  • Analyze and expand reporting to hit quarterly, annual pipeline and revenue targets
  • Work with product to identify new areas for product development
  • Work with marketing to expand/contract the top of the funnel based on competitive analysis and market trends

Qualifications

  • History of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Hands-on experience with trade shows on top of normal sales calls
  • CPG, produce and wholesale relationships in NE region
  • Salesforce or other CRM, project management software
  • Experience in the food industry a plus
  • Experience with technology, agriculture a big plus
  • Willingness to challenge your comfort level and step into unknown projects/tasks
